Halfway Publishing works with authors whose stories come from lived experience rather than literary tradition. The work CogNative has done with them centres on book design and layout, most recently for "Positioned for Purpose" by Jose Frantz and "Noggie Kla'nie" by Reinhart Rymhard. Each project requires understanding the author's voice well enough to translate it into a physical object. The design cannot overshadow the story, but it must be strong enough to earn the reader's trust before they have read a word.
